Armenians, Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis Continue to Die In the Hands of Fascists in Russia

In Russia, from January till mid-September 2009, there have been 169 attacks, which resulted in 53 deaths and 218 injured, announced Moscow Bureau for Human Rights Director Alexander Brod. The majority of these misanthropic acts are committed by skinheads and activists of other nationalist groups.
In 2008, approximately 92 people died and 300 people were injured in the hands of extremists. Whereas in 2007, there were 40 reported deaths and 230 injured.
The attacks mainly take place in and around Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in the Russian cities of Nizhny Novgorod and Stavropol.
This year in Russia, racially motivated attacks have been committed on Uzbek (13 dead, 9 injured), Tajik (5 dead, 13 injured), Russian (5 death, 9 injured), Kyrgyzstani (4 dead, 10 injured), Azerbaijani (2 dead, 12 injured), Armenian (2 dead, 9 injured), and Vietnamese people (3 dead), as well as people from the Republic of Dagestan in Russia (2 dead, 4 injured).
Furthermore, in Russia, attacks on sexual minorities and representatives from youth unions often result in deaths.
