If war breaks out we are sure to win, says Artsakh war hero

In case Azerbaijan triggers a new war over Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), Armenia is sure to hold a victory once more, said Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan (Komandos), a legendary hero of the Karabakh liberation war.
“We will have difficulties first, but make no doubt about our victory. These periodic attacks are [part of] a plan implemented by Azerbaijan,” he told reporters on Friday.
According to him, the Azerbaijani authorities launched the recent subversive attack in an attempt to intimidate Armenia. The major-general then referred to the rules of the military science, noting that a nation, army and authorities of a given state have to be prepared for a possible war before it breaks out.
“This triangle enables any country to launch military operations and win. There are 12 ethnic minorities residing in Azerbaijan. They are now facing an increasing demand of self-preservation,” he said, noting that Azerbaijan commonly relies on minority groups at the most critical moments.
Ter-Tadevosyan added that the fact often causes outrage among those groups which often voice the problem in the country’s parliament.
“If they were ready for a war, they would have launched it long ago. All international organizations express high esteem of our army. And I can assert the same. But war today is different from the previous war in terms form. The first thing down nowadays is to destroy the vital structures in a country,” he added.
