Armenian life-termer calls off hunger-strike

Mher Yenokyan, one of Armenia’s life-termers, called off his hunger-strike on Wednesday morning.
Gor Glechyan, Head of the Press Service, Department fort Execution of Punishment, Ministry of Justice of Armenia, informed Tert.am that Yenokyan had been under medical control since June 11, when he went on a hunger-strike.
Yenokyan, whose parents are doctors, studied at Yerevan State Medical University. At the age of 20, he was charged with murdering his classmate and sentenced to death. Later, however, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Yenokyan demands that the Court of Cassation review his case.
