Armenia is hosting military drills between June 25 and 27 as part of the measures envisaged by the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) plan, the paper has learned.

It has quoted Defense Ministry Seyran Ohanyan as telling the cabinet meeting on Thursday that the exercises, expected to involve representatives of all government offices (including the National Security Service) ,will be of military-political nature.

The exercises will be entitled the Expansion of the State Military System in War Period and the Elaboration of Basic Measures to Repel Aggression, the paper says, adding that Minister Ohanyan has asked the chiefs of all the state agencies to prepare for the event.

“We will prepare relevant decrees on imposing a military law, organizing mobilization and resisting aggression. Besides, the Armenian president will address the CSTO leadership, asking for assistance to prepare and properly participate in that phase [of exercises,” adds the paper.
