Armenian president appoints cabinet members

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has signed a decree to approve the executive’s staff.
According to the Government’s press service, the president appointed the ministers in accordance with Section 4, Article 55 of Armenia’s Constitution.
The full list of the cabinet members is below:
Tigran Sargsyan – prime minister
Armen Gevorgyan – minister of territorial administration, vice prime minister
Arten Asatryan – minister of labor and social issues
Derenik Doumanyan – minister of healthcare
Hrayr Tovmasyan – minister of justice
Armen Yeritsyan – minister of emergency situations
Edward Nalbandyan –minister of foreign affairs
Aram Harutyunyan – minister of nature protection
Sergo Karapetyan - minister of agriculture
Tigran Davtyan – minister of economy
Armen Movsisyan – minister of energy and natural resources
Armen Ashotyan – minister of education and science
Hasmik Poghosyan – minister of culture
Seyran Ohanyan – minister of defense
Hrachya Rostomyan – minister of sport and youth affairs
Hranush Hakobyan – minister of diaspora
Gagik Beglaryan – minister of transport and communication
Samvel Tadevosyan – minister of urban development
Vache Gabrielyan – minister of finance
The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) held on Friday an executive boad session to decide the names of its cabinet members.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, a spokesperson for the party, Edward Sharmazanov, said all their ministers will remain in office.
After the ruling parrty's executive board meeting earlier this month, the president signed a decree to re-appoint Tigran Sargsyan a prime minister.
Upon the premier's proposal, the president later re-appointed Edward Nalbandyan, Seyran Ohanyan and Armen Yeritsyan as ministers of foreign affairs, defense and emergency situations, respectively.
Sources close to the Government had earlier told Tert.am that the new cabinet is planning its first, ad hoc meeting on June 18. The discussion will address the executive's new program which will be reportedly submitted to the National Assembly's approval this Wednesday.
