Armenian FM extends greetings to Queen Elizabeth (photos)

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan congratulated yesterday Queen Elizabeth II on her birthday anniversary at a special ceremony in Yerevan’s Cafesjian Museum Foundation.
The event was attended by several politicians (including oppositionists), representatives of diplomatic missions and journalists. Norayr Margaryan, an Armenian citizen who had the honor to greet the young queen from a cruiser 60 years ago was a special guest at the ceremony.
Episodes featuring the event were screened for the participants.
In his speech, British Ambassador Johnathan Aves said he was twice as happy as the event also marked the 20th anniversary of the Armenia-UK relations.
A band performing at the ceremony later played the jazz improvisation of the Armenian national anthem.
