According to the newly amended order of state graduation exams, from this year the process of exams is being recorded.

Speaking to Tert.am, pro-rector of State Pedagogical University Mher Melik-Bakhshyan said the new order gives the graduates an opportunity to appeal the grade given by the state examination commission.

“After learning the mark, the graduate has an opportunity to appeal it in an hour,” he said, adding that it is being done not with the conduction of new exam but listening the recording and assessing whether the graduate was graded right or not.

According to Melik-Bakhshyan, if the graduate fails to receive positive mark after the appeal, he/she gets an opportunity to take the exam or defend master’s thesis at the end of the next academic year or during the next years. The sum for retaking the exam is being decided by the university.

As to bribery, the pro-rector said it is very difficult to fight against it. “I do not think the recording will help in it,” he said.
