Hence, people must not be afraid of falling ill and the healthcare sphere should be available for all, the newly appointed Healthcare minister Derenik Dumanyan, member of the Republican party’s executive body said today, being introduced to the staff of the ministry by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

The PM agreed that not all the citizens are applying to doctors because of financial issues. Ex-healthcare minister, member of the Prosperous Armenia party Harutyun Kushkyan was not present being abroad with the permission of the PM.

Presenting the newly appointed minister, Tigran Sargsyan said, he is not only well-known person in the healthcare sphere but “a political figure, member of the RPA’s executive body.”

Before the appointment, Derenik Dumanyan was the rector of Yerevan Medical University. Months ago, speaking to Tert.am, he excluded the possibility of being appointed in the post of the minister, saying he wanted to retain his post of the rector.
