The Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers, Edward Nalbandyan and Elmar Mammadyarov, are meeting in Paris later today.

Their discussion, expected to address the Nagorno-Karabakh peace settlement process, will be also attended by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

In the course of her visit to the South Caucasus earlier this month, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had called for adherence to the three basic principles of conflict settlement (territorial integrity, people’s right to self-determination and non-use of force).

This is the first meeting between Armenian and Azerbaijani officials following the recent border clashes and the violations of ceasefire.
