7.2 magnitude quake causes changes in Lake Van

The 7.2 earthquake, which hit Turkey’s Van province in October last year, has essentially changed the appearance of Lake Van, Habarler.com reported.
A 20-page report has come to reveal that the river size has been reduced by 15-25 meters in certain sections, its level being 10 cm up in several areas.
“Following the October 23 earthquake in Van, the transformations in coastal areas have essentially altered the physical appearance of the lake,” reads the document.
