Doctor hospitalized from Yerevan restaurant in critical condition

The military doctor hospitalized with skull injuries from a Yerevan restaurant after a big scuffle remains in an extremely critical condition.
Major Vahe Avetyan, the head of the ENT Department at the Yerevan Garrison Hospital, was beaten heavily by two security guards at the Harsnaqar restaurant on Sunday evening.
After a surgery on Monday, he fell into coma. Doctors estimate his condition critical but stable. A nurse speaking to Tert.am from the hospital’s reception said Avetyan hasn’t recovered yet.
The local daily Haykakan Zhamanak said earlier today that the security guard who beat the doctor was allowed to go home after giving testimony at the police.
A spokesperson at the Defense Ministry, Mary Sargsyan, later told Tert.am that they haven’t yet received the case to launch a proceeding.
