Aznavour gives charity concert in Shanghai

French-Armenian singer and song-writer Charles Aznavor was invited to Shanghai, China earlier this week to give a charity gala concert for the local Armenians.
According to a press release by the Foreign Ministry, the event was organized on Monday, June 18.
Upon the Armenian Embassy’s initiative, Aznavour met with the Shanghai’s Armenian community representatives. Ambassador Armen Sargsyan introduced to the singer to around 20 young people who directed a variety of questions to their renowned compatriot.
At the meeting which was held in a warm environment, the great singer spoke of Armenia and the preservation of Armenian identity, highlighting the youth’s role in the country’s development.
