Man in passenger car dies after crash with Coca-Cola vehicle

A crash between a VAZ 2106 car and a Chevrolet on the Yerevan-Vanadzor highway (Argatsotn region) this noon has left one person dead.
According to photo reporter Gagik Shamshyan, the accident occurred after the passenger car went off the track on the 40th km of the highway, colliding with the Chevrolet which reportedly belongs to the Coca-Cola company.
The passenger of the VAZ 2106 car died immediately. The driver of the other car was hospitalized together with a passenger.
The police are now on the scene trying to identify the deceased and the injured.
The Aragatsotn Police Department is preparing materials for inquest.

Shamshyan told Tert.am minutes ago that the driver and the passengers of the VAZ 2106 car have been identified. Gnel Hakobyan, 50, was at the wheel at the time of the accident. His passengers were Anushavan Hakobyan, 79, and Seda Hakobyan, 75. The former died right away. The latter was hospitalized, together with Gnel Harutyunyan and the passengers and driver of the other vehicle. The injured were first taken to the Medical Center of Ashtarak town and later moved to Yerevan.
