The plurality in Armenia’s newly-formed parliament provides a wide platform of dialogue over political ideas and approaches, a lawmaker of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has said.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Artak Zakaryan of the RPA faction in parliament noted that the existing plurality enables all the political forces to speak on behalf of their voters.
 

“The first thing the parliament did was the approval of the Government’s five-year plan. Righteous and fair solutions are extremely essential  in such matters,” he said, adding that the plan would enable them to speak of their accomplishments and failures over the past period.

“The program contains a special section that takes into consideration all possible risks, proposing measures to overcome them whenever they emerge,” he said.
 

Zakaryan promised that the measures proposed in the document will essentially enhance the population’s living standards in five years.

As for the different approaches by other parliamentary parties, the Republican MP considered that quite natural.
 

“Everyone has his or her approaches or ideas. But the program, in its entirety, is seen as realistic. We are committed to the reforms, and do not restrict ourselves to nice wordings only,” he added.
