The copy of the prosecutor general’s decision over the money laundering charges against the Civilitas Foundation was yesterday sent to ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan, a spokesperson has said.

Speaking to Tert.am, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Sona Truzyan, confirmed the report, without giving further details. She said it wouldn’t be right to make the document public unless it reaches the claimant.
 

Oskanyan, now a lawmaker of the Prosperous Armenia party (PAP) faction in National Assembly, had earlier submitted an appeal to Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, asking him to annul the decision on a criminal proceeding and dismiss the case.


The local daily Haykakan Zhamanak said earlier today that Oskanyan has asked the State Revenue Committee to launch inspections in the foundation, seeking in this manner to prove his innocence.
