Event in commemoration of military doctor Vahe Avetyan was conducted in front of the Presidential residence today.
About 500 people, activists, among them former MP Anahit Bakhshyan, attorney Zhanna Alexanyan, writer Vahram Martirosyan, gathered there.
Activists of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) are calling for president to leave the post. The activists say Ruben Hayrapetyan, the owner of the Harsnaqar restaurant complex where Vahe Avetyan was severely beaten, should not be dubbed as “Nemets” any more but “Turk”.
Activist Vardges Gaspari stated that the gathered policemen are the defenders of criminals. He said Vahe Avetyan was murdered because people remained silent during the previous cases.
