ANC rep on key figure’s secession

21:19 • 05.07.12

Talking to Tert,am, Vladimir Karapetyan, Foreign Relations Executive, opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC), said that each political figure has the right to “such a decision.”

Karapetyan thus commented on David Shahnazaryan’s decision to leave the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC).

Shahnazaryan said that the ANC’s cooperation with the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is an indirect reason for his decision. “I have never heard about this reason,” Karapetyan said
.
He does not think Shahnazaryan’s secession from the ANC will not weaken it.

“I think new members will join the ANC. And each member leaving the ANC has the right to his or her personal decision, and we respect it,” Karapetyan said.
