The Armenian Police has dismissed the reports that writer Vahram Sahakyan has been subjected to battery.
Speaking to Tert.am, a spokesperson said that the writer had not reported to them on any incident of the kind.
A police task force that visited Sahakyan’s place found out that the writer had not been beaten at all.
It comes after Blognews.am posted the bloody photo of Sahakyan or someone looking very much like him earlier today, saying that the writer had been severely beaten by unknown men who immediately ran away. The website also quoted Sahakyan as saying that he suffered from a terrible headache and couldn’t talk, and had already reported the police on the incident.
