16:55 • 17.07.12

Sitting of the inter-departmental commission coordinating the cooperation of Armenian state bodies with European establishments took place today chaired by the National Security Council secretary, chairman of the commission Arthur Baghdasaryan.

According to a press release of the NSC, the attendees discussed works carried out for signing Armenia-EU Association, deep and comprehensive, visa facilitation regime agreements.

Addressing the present Arthur Baghdasaryan said it was the first sitting convened this year to discuss Armenia-EU political cooperation results.

“As you know the EU’s last report positively assessed Armenia-EU political cooperation but stressed certain issues needing our attention. We should work out a 25-program document,” he said, adding that a special timeframe will be established for working out the document and time for expecting the results.

Arthur Baghdasaryan also referred to the issues raised while implementing the works as well as to the European Commission report on Armenia’s 2011 progress issued on May 15 2012.

Members of the commission delivered reports on the implemented works and registered results.
