Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian received on Wednesday the newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Armenia Reiner Morell, who presented the copies of his credentials.

The Armenian FM congratulated Mr Reiner Morell on his appointment and noted the dynamic development of Armenian-German political dialogue in recent years. High-ranking Armenian and German officials frequently pay mutual visits.

Minister Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that Ambassador Reiner Morell will contribute to the development of Armenian-German cooperation.

Mr Reiner Morell expressed his gratitude for a warm reception and made a high appraisal of bilateral cooperation. He assured the Armenian FM that he will spare no efforts to consolidate bilateral relations.

The sides discussed prospects of developing bilateral political economic, cultural and educational cooperation.

They also discussed the Armenia-EU cooperation under the European Partnership project.

The sides pointed out Armenian peacekeepers’ service under the German command in Afghanistan.

Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Reiner Morell also discussed a number of regional issues of mutual interest.
