Armenian Deputy PM and Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan received on Wednesday a World Bank delegation headed by Suleiman Kulibali, the head of the working group elaborating a three-year third development policy program for Armenia,
According to the Ministry’s Public Information Department, the meeting was aimed at discussing the proposals considered by the Government as priorities to be included in the next reform policies program.
The deputy premier said that the group has a very important mission in Armenia, with key problems concerning the country and different communities being currently under consideration. Gevorgyan particularly stressed the importance of regional programs aimed at the development of infrastructures.
Introducing the basic trends of the program, Kulibali said that the current development policies will also assist in the Government’s priority reforms aimed to enhance the country’s competitiveness.
The program proposes particularly boosting Armenia’s export growth, promoting the tax administration reforms, enhancing the business environment and assisting in the efforts to ensure the countries’ social stability.
