Lilit Mkrtchyan celebrates second victory in Jermuk

Armenian female chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan has celebrated her second victory at the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix Tournament being held in the resort city of Jermuk.
According to Armsport.am, Mkrtchyan defeated Russia’s Nadezhda Kasintseva in the fifth round. Another representative of Armenia, Elina Danielyan, tied her game with China’s Zhao Xue.
Having scored 2.5 points, both Armenian players now share the 5th-9th positions on the tournament list.
A top player after five rounds is China’s Ju Wenjun.
