Syria opposition pledges to back Armenians

The colonel of the Free Syrian Army has promised to protect the civilians across the country, including the Christian Armenians, Assyrians, as well as the Alevis and the Druzes.
In a video message posted on YouTube, Colonel Abdel Jabbar al-Oqaidi unveiled plans to seize Aleppo from President Bashar al-Asssad.
The Egyptian news website Ahram reminds its readers that Aleppo is home to several ethnic minorities, including Armenians and other Christian nations.
The Syrian colonel emphasized in his message that the fight is with Assad’s family, not the civilian population.
