Yerevan court rejects Vartan Oskanian’s lawyer’s petition

Yerevan Kentron and Nork Marash court has rejected ex-foreign minister Vardan Oskanian’s lawyer’s petition to cease criminal charges against Civilitas Foundation and ex-FM.
Asked why the court has denied the petition, lawyer Tigran Atanesyan said he cannot ground the rejection until the court’s final ruling is published on Tuesday.
Atanesyan told Tert.am that they will appeal Monday’s ruling of the court.
Armenian National Security Service opened a criminal case on May 25 against former Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, Prosperous Armenia Party MP, and the Civilitas Foundation founded by him for money laundering.
Oskanian says the criminal case is politically motivated.
