Jail is not threat for us to stop our fight – ANC rep

Member of the Armenian National Congress, MP Nikol Pashinyan stated at the protest rally on Tuesday against the arrest of the ANC young activists that neither of them is afraid of appearing in jail.
“The decision over the guys is addressed to each of us. It is the message of Serzh Sargsyan’s criminal regime that each of us may appear behind the bars at any moment. Our response will be – listen Serzh Sargsyan, and others, we are ready to go to jail at any moment. Prison is not the threat for us to stop our fight,” Pashinyan stressed.
According to him, there is one way for struggling for activists’ freedom, “each of us with his/her behavior should demonstrate readiness to appear in prison for our principles, for the future of our children and Armenia’s Constitution.”
He explained that saying to appear in prison does not mean they will become criminals. “It means each of us is ready to go to jail, like these guys, without committing any crime,” he said.
“We should understand that this struggle cannot last forever. Its end is citizen’s victory. There is only one way out – we all gather in Liberty Square and give Serzh Sargsyan time to take his oligarchic blunderers and leave. In the opposite case, we will be political prisoners who were freed, then again jailed and again freed. We are ready for it. But the most important thing is that we must prepare Serzh for jail, otherwise we will permanently be jailed and freed,” Pashinyan said.
