Serzh Sargsyan is leaving for London on July 26 to attend the opening of the London Olympic Games together with other state leaders, the paper has learned.

The president will then reportedly have a short rest, first travelling to Europe and then returning to Armenia to continue his rest in Sevan.

According to the paper, Sargsyan’s tour is a unique opportunity for Prosperous Armenia’s leader, Gagik Tsarukyan (who is also the president of Armenia’s National Olympic Committee) to fly to London in a presidential aircraft.

The paper says no special ceremony was held to see off the Armenian Olympic team, as the sportsmen were travelling to European countries for training exercises before departing for the Olympic capital.
