President of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic Bako Sahakyan received on Saturday a delegation headed by the governor of Armenia’s Lori region, Arthur Nalbandyan.

According to a press release by the NKR Presidential Office, the president considered the continuous deepening of ties between the regions of Armenia and Artsakh very useful for the two Armenian republics. Highly praising Lori’s contribution, the president said that its cooperation with Nagorno-Karabakh’s Martakert region had a tangible impact on the latter’s socio-economic development.

The parties also discussed other issues of vital interest.

The meeting was also attended by the primate of the Gougark Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Sepouh Chouljyan, NKR Minister of Agriculture Andranik Khachatyan, Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Narine Aghabalyan, president of the "Base Metals" closed joint stock company Valery Mejloumyan, and other officials.
 

The delegation is visiting Artsakh in the frameworks of the Lori-Martakert Friendship Bridge program.
