Armenian Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan hosted on Monday the participants of the second round of My Armenia all-Armenian festival.
The participants of this round are performers from Russia, Georgia and other countries.
Welcoming the guests, the minister voiced hope that the songs and performances of the participants will leave a lasting trace in the souls of the people.
“I want you to visit Yerablur and Etchmiadzin, as well as sing at Garni temple,” Hranush Hakobyan said.
The festival consists of four rounds. During the first one 34 dance ensembles from different countries arrived in Armenia. The second round hosts Armenian individual performers with the third one to host Armenian singing ensembles. In September for the first time duduk festival will be conducted.
The number of individual performers reaches 40, among them are pianists, reed pipe players. The majority of them, though, are singers.
The ceremonial opening of the second round of the festival is slated for August 1 at Hakob Paronyan Theatre, with the closing ceremony to be held on August 5 at Aram Khachaturyan big concert hall.
During these few days the guests will perform in Gyumri and Aghavnadzor.
