Armenia’s government-affiliated State Revenue Committee has published the list of top 1000 large taxpayers. The total amount of taxes they all have paid has reached 261.9 billion drams which is 29.3 billion more (12.6 percent) as compared with the same span of 2011.
The 20.4 billion of the 29.3 billion fell into share to the top 100 large taxpayers.
The list is topped by Armrusgasprom company which has paid 18.2 billion drams, 43.3 percent more as compared with the same span of the past year. This growth raised the company from the second to first place.
Zangezur copper-molybdenum plant appeared on the second place conceding the leader with 7 billion drams. The situation with direct taxes though has worsened, reducing from 8.6 billion drams to 4.1 billion.
Alex Grig company has appeared on the third place registering 13.8 percent growth and paying 9.3 billion drams. The company owned by MP Samvel Alexanyan, though, has registered 1.5 percent decline in direct taxes.
VivaCell-MTC has registered 52.6 percent growth during the year, paying 7.2 billion drams, being ranked the 4th in the list.
The top five are being concluded by ArmenTel company that has paid 6.1 billion drams.
Indirect taxes are being paid from the “pocket” of citizens, while the direct taxes (income) are paid by businessmen.
