Syrian wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has kidnapped two Turkish journalists in Syria.

Journalists of Turkish Stare and Milli papers Kemal Gumus and Jihat Arpacak were in Syria to cover the clashes between the governmental and opposition forces. They have been kidnapped not far from the Turkish-Syrian border.

Turkiye paper managed to establish a phone contact with the kidnapped journalists. One of them said they are told to be their guests. “They are taking us everywhere they go. We do not know what to do. They do not tell us anything. They only tell us to wait,” Jihat Arpacak said.

Another two journalists were earlier kidnapped in Syria but freed after 58 days.
