Special commission to probe into pregnant woman’s death

Under a decree by Minister of Health Derenik Dumanyan, a special commission has been set up to investigate a recent death of a pregnant woman.
A resident of the Jrashen village (Lori region), Hratsin Malkhasyan, was hospitalized in the 20th week of her pregnancy on July 28. The woman was taken to Yerevan’s Erebuni Medical Center where she had her uterus removed after a bleeding, but doctors didn’t manage to save her life.
Malkhasyan was a mother of four; her family is said to be in tight social circumstances.
The police department of the Erebuni administrative district is preparing materials for an inquest. An expert examination has been assigned.
