Akhaltskha breaks the deadlock and returns its function of being a center, Georgia’s President Mikheil Saakashvili said during his visit to Akhaltskha.
He said Akhaltshka is a heroic region and different projects, including reconstruction of border check-points, roads will make it a functional center.
Saakashvili stressed recently there was an impression of Akhaltskha being an abandoned town while currently the situation has changed with the construction of Rabat complex in short period of time being a proof of it.
“Of course during these days we are commemorating our perished heroes, innocent people. We remember that our territories are occupied. Russian aggression is a direct response to our development and our victories over corruption. Our response to their aggression will be construction till the country completely stands up. Akhaltskha is a symbol of it,” he added.
