Armenia’s Gyumri mayor to support neither of mayoral candidates

Gyumri’s municipality has released a statement saying the acting mayor of the city is not going to back any of the candidates at the mayoral elections.
The statement comes after electronic news media reported that Vardan Ghukasyan is going to back Spartak Petrosyan’s candidacy.
“The information of certain media outlets that Gyumri mayor is going to back Spartak Petrosyan is false and groundless. Vardan Ghukasyan is not going to back any candidate,” the statement claimed.
