No suspects, no accused have been revealed within the framework of the criminal case filed after a Mercedes 200E car was exploded on July 21, resulting in inflammation of Massis Tobacco company’s three cars, an official from Masis department of the Armenian police told Tert.am.

He refused to say whether the case may be dropped grounded on the absence of crime.

Zhoghovurd wrote today that the car’s blast is the continuation of the fight in the town before the parliamentary elections in Armenia between the representatives of the Prosperous Armenia party and the ruling Republican party. The paper claims the car was exploded by Karo Hakobyan, nephew of ex mayor of Masis, RPA member Sashik Hakobyan.

According to Tert.am sources in Masis, the relations between the PAP and RPA have always been tensed in the town and are accompanied with different criminal incidents.

Currently, there are three PAP candidates in Massis and one Republican party member.

On August 13 another fight was registered in the town accompanied by gunshots.
