Over 408,000 Armenian citizens visit Georgia in Jan-July, 2012

A total of 2.211m people visited Georgia this January-July against 1.438m last January-July – a 54% increase, http://newsgeorgia.ru reports.
During the period under review, 920,000 tourists from Europe visited the country (480,758 in the corresponding period last year).
A total of 1.187 m people visited Georgia from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) (896,338 in the corresponding period last year – a 32% increase). Also, 19,315 US citizens visited the country (16,189 in the corresponding period last year - a 19% increase).
Turkey is the leader, with 810,698 visitors against 391,937 last year (a 107% year-on-year increase), followed by Azerbaijan, with 483,317 against 375,700 (a 29% increase), and Armenia, with 408,109 against 335,290 last year (a 22% increase).
A total of 237,950 people visited Georgia from Russia this January-July, against 131,730 last year (an 81% increase).
