British director Tony Scott dies after jumping off bridge

Tony Scott, director of Hollywood blockbusters such as Top Gun, Days of Thunder and Beverly Hills Cop II, has died after jumping from a Los Angeles County Bridge, NDTV Movies reported.
Los Angeles County Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale has said that Mr Scott's death on Sunday (August 19) is being investigated as a suicide.
According to the authorities, the 68-year-old director jumped from the Vincent Thomas Bridge spanning San Pedro and Terminal Island in Los Angeles.
