Syrian-Armenian killed in Aleppo

A 32-year-old Syrian-Armenian George Kabanjian has been shot dead in Syria’s Aleppo. Primate of the Aleppo Diocese of the Armenian church Zhirayr Reyisian told Tert.am, the Armenian was killed by a sniper in the territory of recently burnt St. Gevorg Church.

 

Tert.am’s sources report that phone and mobile phone communication are operating badly in the city, while Internet is not available at all.

 

There is no information about the 7 kidnapped Armenians. The negotiations over their release are still underway.

 

According to circulating news, after kidnapping of 7 Armenians, another two were kidnapped a day later, but were released in few hours.
