Armenia’s presidential election campaign ‘a gangster comedy’ with elements of ‘horror’

15:33 • 12.02.13

Izabella Abgaryan, a member of the Heritage party, addressed the alleged arrest of presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan’s father-in-law and further refutation of the reports.

“The presidential election campaign turned from a comedy into a gangster film, and is now developing into a horror film about a father-in-law’s destroyed remains,” Ms Abgaryan wrote on her Facebook page.

Some news websites reported that Vardan Sedrakyan’s father-in-law was arrested as a third suspect in the Paruir Hairikyan attempted assassination case.

However, Mr Sedrakyan informed the Yerkir.am website that his father-in-law died two years before his marriage.
