Armenian actor Yervand Yengibaryan dies in car crash in Yerevan

Actor Yervand Yengibaryan has been killed in the car crash in Yerevan’s Myasnikyan avenue on Tuesday morning.


Shamshyan.com reports that he was at the wheel of the Mercedes vehicle which crashed with a column at 4:56 am local time.


The passenger of the car, Mariam Sargsyan (34), who is reported to be a Russian citizen, has been hospitalized with multiple injuries.


Rescuers from the Emergency Ministry had arrived on the scene to pull Yengibaryan’s body out.


Yengibaryan worked at the Russian Drama Theatre named after Constantin Stanislavski. He also played in the movies “The Killed Dove” and “Move with a Knight”.


Yesterday was the actor’s birthday.
