Armenian Young Women’s Association announces Week of Women Entrepreneurs

The Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA) is announcing a Week of Women Entrepreneurs in Armenia, June 8-11.

AYWA Chairperson Lilit Asatryan told reporters on Wednesday that women’s entrepreneurship has ample opportunities for development in Armenia.

“Our present task is to ensure maximum involvement of relevant government agencies as women’s economic activities will promote economic progress,” she said.

A number of projects are planned for the period, with the most important of them being a conference of women entrepreneurs "Vision of New Developments."

“The participants in the conference will be able to discuss the situation not only in Armenia, but also in the entire world, possibilities of adopting the best international experience in Armenia.

“Among the invitees are not only Armenian government agencies, but also international organizations and foreign embassies, which highlight women’s involvement in economy,” Ms Asatryan said.
