Two Armenian soldiers killed in Azerbaijani act of sabotage

Two servicemen of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army were killed in an act of sabotage provoked by the Azerbaijani armed forces on the night of December 18.

In an official statement, the Nagoorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry says that the Armenian forces managed to push back the adversary with heavy losses after it initiated border infiltration attempts in the eastern, north-eastern and northern parts of the frontline.

The two soldiers, who were martyred in the battles, are reported to be Aghas A Grigoryan and Ruben R Aleksanyan, both aged 19.

Extending its condolences to the family, friends and fellow servicemen of the deceased, the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry promises that the Azerbaijani aggression will not go unpunished. “The retaliation will be painful and with irrevocable losses,” reads the statement.
