Internal developments not directly linked to Karaabkh issue – diplomat
The heated developments in Armenia’s capital are not directly linked to the processes over Nagorno-Karabakh, a diplomat has said, not ruling out the possibility of undesired implication.
At a news conference on Thursday, Arman Navasardyan warned of possible indirect impact on both the domestic political landscape and the unresolved Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“I believe the developments in Armenia have made the situation displeasing for as, with the unfolding events are not in the people’s interest at all,” he said.
Navasardyan expressed hope that the authorities will demonstrate enough common sense to avoid a catastrophe. “All are silent as though Belarusian partisans. The president’s stance is clear, as he will be the last to say his word. But what about politicians, the National Assembly and the those who speak all the time?”
The diplomat said he doesn’t think the recent developments were desirable for Armenia against the backdrop of the situation in Karabakh.
