Nagorno-Karabkh army takes retaliatory action to curb Azerbaijani attacks – statement
Azerbaijan’s intensive ceasefire violations along the Line of Contact pushed the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Defense Army to active retaliatory operations over the past week to curb further proactive raids.
Nagorno-Karabakh’s Ministry of Defense reports about 300 ceasefire violations committed in the period between June 11 and 16. The adversary used 60-mm and 82-mm mortars and rocket-propelled grenade launchers to fire Armenian defense positions, according to an official statement.
Nagorno-Karabakh’s armed forces continue their military vigil on the frontline to ensure a reliable defense of their military positions.
An intensive ceasefire violation on Friday evening left three Armenian servicemen (Arayik R Matinyan, Vigen Zh Petrosyan and Vardan Ts. Sargsyan) fatally wounded. Another soldier, Narek T Gasparyan, was reported dead on Saturday morning.
