Laos International 2018: Armenian named sole winner

Armenian chess grandmaster Karen Grigoryan won the sole winner’s title in the Laos International Open Chess Championship held between January 1 and 7.

This year’s tournament brought together 68 sportsmen (including four international masters) from 15 countries.

Grigoryan celebrated six victories and ended three matches in a draw, Chess.am reports.  

Vietnamese chess players ranked the second and third on the tournament list.
