Pashinyan will have his government program as prime minister – Edmon Marukyan

Nikol Pashinyan, as the only likely candidate for prime minister, will have his own program for the new government, a member of his political team said on Monday.
Edmon Marukyan, the Bright Armenia party's leader who represents Pashinyan's Yelk (Way Out) faction in parliament, said they will support the politician in his future government-building efforts.
“The Republican Party of Armenia [which is a political majority] will approve the government program, which Pashinyan will definitely have,” he noted.
The lawmaker said he also believes that all the political forces are now interested in stability, equal opportunity and guaranteed free elections ensuring equal opportunities for all.
But he admitted that electoral reforms will be a time-consuming process requiring long-lasting procedures including approval by the Venice Commission, etc.
Asked to comment on the Republican majority’s expected attitude to Pashinyan’s program, Marukyan said he is positively disposed to future developments in the exiting political atmosphere.
“Nothing is impossible; there are real opportunities. Pashinyan may form a government of his own, exercising administrative control regionally and economically, [combatting] monopolies and pushing for a further progress,” he added.
