Artsakh contract serviceman killed in Azerbaijani gunfire

A contract serviceman of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Defense Army was fatally wounded in a military post on Sunday night in a gunshot reportedly released by the Azerbaijani armed forces.

The serviceman was identified as Vahagn J Eloyan, according to the Artsakh Defense Ministry’s press service.

A probe has been launched into the circumstances of the incident.

In an official statement released late on Sunday, the Ministry extended its condolences to the family and fellow servicemen of the deceased.
