Nikol Pashinyan has outlined the Armenian government's priorities stemming from the November 10 ceasefire on Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), dismissing the concerns over possible plans to launch a highway "corridor".

In a public post on Facebook, the prime minister highlighted the primary focus on the rescue and search operations to ensure the return of the prisoners of war (POWs), hostages and other persons being held in captivity in Azerbaijan, as well as to facilitate the swap of dead bodies subject to Clause 8 of the Statement.

In the context of lifting the blockade on economic and transport infrastructures, he called attention to the opportunities of Armenia's transport communication with Russia and the Islamic Republic through Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan's transport communication with Nakhichevan through Armenia's territory.

"I once again call attention to the fact that the November 10 ceasefire says nothing about 'Meghri' or any 'corridor'  with respect Armenia's territory.

"The choice of communication routes from Armenia to Russia and from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan is a topic of a separate discussion, for which the swap of POWs, hostages and other persons being held in captivity, as well as swap of dead bodies appears a key condition to ensure and raise  the efficiency of work," he said.
