‘Today is my last day at work’: Armenia’s high-tech minister announces plan to step down

Armenia’s minister of high-tech Industry has announced his decision to resign, thanking the prime minister and citizens of Armenia for the trust and support over the period.

In a public post on Facebook, Hakob Arshakyan also extended his gratittude to his agency’s staff and employees of the adjunct institutions for an effective collaboration in the past two years. 

"Today is my last day at work," he said, appreciating his team for professionalism and a dedicated service. 

“Our roads diverge as we work on, while a leader’s talent consists in making the right choice at the right moment. This is why it is often impossible to meet simultaneously every person’s desires. The Ministry’s team has always guided itself by the primary interest of the state and society.

“Many of our brothers fell in the battle, and I bow to their memory and families. Their feats will always remain in our hearts and minds. We have a very gorgeous country with strong and good people. Never divide or classify yourselves, as we all together are going to build a happy, secure and developed country with the painstaking and consistent efforts of each and every of us,” reads part of his address.

Hakobyan headed the Ministry of High-Tech Industry since June 1, 2019.
