Misha Aloyan wants to change his name

Amateur boxer Misha Aloyan (52kg) has said he intends to change his name, the Russian language news website Lenta.ru reported.

An Armenia-born Yezidi, Aloyan said he is going to apply to the relevant authorities to change his name into “Mikhail” in an attempt to have a somehow caressing version of the name.

Aloyan recently became a world champion in amateur boxing with Russia’s team.
