Avangard: Zaruhi Bostanjyan Armenia’s first-ever woman-president?
12:20 • 16.05.12

Zaruhi Bostanjyan, a Heritage party member, may run for presidency in the 2013 presidential election in Armenia.
Her fellows hint that she may refuse to take her seat in Armenia’s parliament to prepare for the presidential election.
Should Bostanjyan run for presidency, she will go down in Armenia’s political history as the first woman-candidate for presidency.
Some may favorably respond to Bostanjyan’s boldness thereby encouraging women to seek presidency. This, in turn, may strengthen opinion of Armenia as a democratic country.
